Opera News: Journal of Music and Performing Arts operates under a diamond open-access publishing model. All articles are published online and made freely available to readers without subscription or access barriers.
No Charges for Authors

There are no hidden or mandatory charges associated with manuscript submission, editorial assessment, peer review, acceptance, production, or publication.
No Waiver Required
Because the journal does not impose article processing charges, authors do not need to apply for fee waivers or discounts. The same no-fee policy applies to all authors, regardless of their country, institution, professional status, research funding, or ability to pay.
Editorial Independence
All editorial decisions are based exclusively on the manuscript’s originality, academic quality, methodological soundness, relevance to the journal’s scope, and contribution to music and the performing arts. An author’s financial circumstances have no influence on the review or publication decision.
Free Access for Readers
All published articles are immediately available to readers free of charge. Readers may access, read, and download journal content without registering or paying a subscription fee.
Optional Third-Party Services
The journal does not require authors to purchase language editing, translation, formatting, illustration, or other commercial services. Authors who independently choose to use an external service are responsible for any costs charged by that provider. The use of such a service does not guarantee manuscript acceptance.
